MVP Kobe Bryant thanks L.A. Lakers teammates with Jaeger-LeCoultre watches

May 19, 2008 NEW YORK, NY - Recently awarded MVP Kobe Bryant said he couldn't have received the honor of NBA Most Valuable Player without the help of his fellow Los Angeles Lakers teammates. Today, he thanked them with more than just words. Bryant gave each player a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Compressor Chronograph timepiece as an additional symbol of his appreciation for their support.
The watches, each hand made by Jaeger-LeCoultre watchmakers, were flown from Switzerland straight to Los Angeles and personalized with an engraving of the year and each player's name. Bryant handed out the watches to the players Monday evening following a team dinner where they watched game seven of the conference semi-finals to see who their next opponent would be. Bryant was introduced to the 175 year-old luxury watch brand during a recent photo shoot (picture attached) in which he wore one of the timepieces. Bryant is a three-time NBA champion and 10-time All-Star. This is his 12th season in the NBA and his first MVP award.
